Marina Zurkow
August 20th, 2008
For the past few months, I have been working with the artist Marina Zurkow, who I met at the Sundance Festival back in January. We have been developing a c++ framework for her animations so that we can first introduce some randomness into them to ensure that the progression is never the same twice, and then eventually introduce some meaningful data into the pieces so that they are influenced by eternal forces, such as the weather, the stock market, or maybe a data source that is less cliché.
I’d love to post more images, because her illustration style is really great, but I don’t want to give away any of her secrets, so you’ll just have to wait until we finish a piece and see it yourself.
